The e-SENS (Electronic Simple European Networked Services) kick-off event took place in Berlin, Germany from April 9 - 11.
The e-SENS (Electronic Simple European Networked Services) kick-off event took place in Berlin, Germany from April 9-11. It began with a number of welcoming keynote speakers representing the Ministry of Justice of North Rhine-Westphalia. Serge Novaretti, the project officer from the European Commission, underlined the importance of the e-SENS project and defined expectations towards it. The first day continued with the introduction to each national consortium presented by the project beneficiaries. Work package leaders then continued by presenting their work plans and goals for the project:

The work package sessions took place after the official opening session. Meetings aimed at organising the work, giving practical information on task allocation and presenting the upcoming activities. Responsibilities were divided among the partners in each work package session. The main foci of the meetings were the objectives and challenges. Within the sessions representatives of other LSP projects were present and shared their valuable experience and input. Work package 5 and 6 divided their meetings into the different business domains (e-Procurement, e-Health, e-Justice, Business Lifecycle) and the technical clusters (e-ID, e-Documents and semantics, e-Delivery).
The event ended on the 11th of April with over 100 project participants present creating an excellent opportunity to start effective collaboration.
