It is a major topic of concern, for many European experts across different domains of work, how the tools and solutions being developed under European programmes right now will be sustained and coordinated in the future.

The e-SENS project looks beyond the term of the Connecting Europe Facility (2020) and nurtures the overall sustainability of technical solutions (known as Building Blocks) that enable the interoperability and delivery of cross-border public e-services.

The work of the sustainability group in e-SENS therefore encompasses multiple tasks:

Assessing the maturity of technical solutions	Designing a suitable long-term governance model	Helping to build a business case for these cross-domain solutions
